New products and announcements were revealed to thousands of show attendees from the following AMES Companies brands:

Dual Tine Leaf Rake –

The Dual Tine Leaf Rake features a unique one-sweep design with two rows of tines that resist clogging and make raking more efficient – up to 45% faster than the traditional AMES rake. The 26-inch polyethylene head is designed for better engagement into the grass, ensuring the tines cover the most surface area when raking. Innovation extends beyond the rake’s head to its textured rubber handle for better comfort and control. The Dual Tine Leaf rake will also be available with a removable hand rake that stores in the center of the head. Available at major home improvement stores in October 2015, including The Home Depot, other retailers and hardware stores. The suggested retail price is $17.99–$19.99 (Dual Tine Leaf Rake) and $24.99–$26.99 (Dual Tine Leaf Rake Combo).

Perfect for gardeners working in raised beds or small spaces, the AMES Mini Action Hoe features a 14-inch handle that makes it convenient for weeding while sitting or kneeling. Its triangular shaped head is designed to weed between plants and flowers and helps cut weed roots below the surface. The head’s double-edge design is excellent for edging and smoothing. The handle features a 6-inch comfort grip and solidly connects to the head with steel rivets and brackets. Available now, the Mini Action Hoe retails for approximately $9.99.

The AMES Companies will also launch the Dual Tine Leaf Rake under its True Temper brand in October 2015. Available at major home improvement stores, including Lowes, other retailers and hardware stores.

The revolutionary snow brush uses EVA foam rather than bristles. The same material used in car washes, EVA foam will not scratch car finishes, freeze or clog with snow. The brush’s telescoping elliptical aluminum handle extends from 36 inches to 52 inches using a large push button that is easy to manage while wearing winter gloves. The t-shaped head swivels 180 degrees for optimal efficiency when removing large amounts of snow. The opposite end features a dual-function scraper with teeth to break up ice and a straight edge to clear ice away. Available September 2015, the scratch-free telescoping snow brush retails for approximately $29.99.

True Temper announces the revitalization of its visual image on its snow tools, long-handled tools and wheelbarrows. Powerful, unifying and unmistakably recognizable, the new True Temper brand logo, colors, and product features reflect this iconic American brand. Customers will immediately notice some significant changes in the branding, including an updated logo and new colors of molten amber and gunmetal grey.

Razor-Back ® Professional Tools

Fiberglass Striking Program –

After conducting extensive end-user research with landscaping and construction professionals, Razor-Back is making industry-leading improvements to its full line of fiberglass striking tools including sledgehammers, pick and cutter mattocks, and wood splitting maul. These new Razor-Back striking tools feature a patent pending steel-reinforced connection between the handle and the head for increased safety and durability. The end of the sledgehammer’s handle now features a baseball bat shape to improve control, significant overstrike protection to increase durability and a fiberglass reinforced lanyard hole. 2

Ceramix

™ Planters – Introduced in 2014, Ceramix Planters combine the opulent appearance of their traditional ceramic or stone planter counterparts with affordability and durability. A light weight substitution to higher priced and heavier planters, the CMX™ assortment is crafted from materials that are chemical, oil and mold resistant. Resin, stone powder and other materials combine to make a planter that is UV protected, weatherproof, and durable. The current line of CMX™ planters are available at major retailers and hardware stores. Two new styles will be introduced in 2016, including the 12-in Pickle Pot planter in 4 color combinations and the Lexington Urn in 2 different colors. The 12-in Pickle Pot planter retails for approximately $19.99 and the Lexington Urn retails for approximately $79.99.

Steel Tine Leaf Rake

– This new multi-purpose rake is robust, durable and has been specifically designed to help clean lawns efficiently and rapidly. The bowed head collects a maximum quantity of debris with each stroke. The shape of the tines is based on research and is intended to capture all sorts of debris. The extra-long, curved tines are designed to glide between blades of grass without damaging them. Built from one piece of quality steel, the tines solidly connect to an ultra-resistant poly head. This innovative attachment system provides flexibility and also prevents the tines from breaking or falling off. Finally, the handle is covered with a comfortable piece of foam to provide maximum control and prevent hand injuries. Available in Canada in January 2016, the suggest retail price (Canadian Dollars) is $21.99-$23.99 (16 Tine) and $24.99-$26.99 (20 Tine.)

This first-of-its-kind combo snow shovel has been designed for maximum sturdiness. Made out of a lightweight polyethylene, the 19-inch blade clears snow quickly and the optimal curved shape is perfect to push snow. Available in Canada in September 2015, the suggested retail price (Canadian Dollars) is $19.99–$24.99.

The new multipurpose scraper features an innovative, long handle made of a fiberglass core over-molded with engineering resin and Thermo Plastic Elastomer (TPE) which increases stiffness, impact resistance and strength of the tool. The handle, which is up to 50% sturdier than a wood handle, connects to a forged steel blade with double rivets. Available in Canada in January 2016, the suggested retail price (Canadian Dollars) is $44.99-$48.99.
