Vanilla Ice Selects Clopay® Garage Doors to Complete Latest Florida Flip on DIY Network Series

Cincinnati, OH --

Clopay Canyon Ridge® Collection Limited Edition Series garage doors will be featured on Season 4 of “The Vanilla Ice Project”, which airs Saturdays at 10 p.m. ET on the DIY Network beginning March 8.

This is the third time Vanilla Ice, whose real name is Rob Van Winkle, has approached residential garage door manufacturer Clopay in search of trendsetting carriage house style doors to maximize the curb appeal of a Florida mansion in need of a top-to-bottom transformation.

Van Winkle, best-known for his “Ice Ice Baby” rap song in 1989, has been a real estate investor for the past 15 years, renovating and flipping homes.

“The Vanilla Ice Project” is a home renovation show that began in 2009. The series follows Van Winkle as he strips down distressed properties to the bare bones and reimagines them for resale in the Palm Beach real estate market. Each episode focuses on a new room and new project – from custom woodwork and kitchen design, to exterior remodeling and pool renovation.

Audiences who have tuned in to the series during previous seasons may be surprised by the style of this house. Van Winkle is partial to the Canyon Ridge Collection faux wood carriage house style garage doors because of their realistic beauty and low-maintenance durability. But the traditional architecture forced him to choose a different design and cladding species than he has used in the past. Clopay dealer Broten Garage Door managed the installation.

Season 4 of “The Vanilla Ice Project” will chronicle the 3,000 sq. ft. mansion makeover over nine weeks beginning March 8. For episode details and air times, visit the DIY Network at http://www.diynetwork.com/the-vanilla-ice-project/show/index.html .
